Fortunately, I've outgrown the worst of my allergies. I still have some symptoms when the pollen counts get really high (mostly itchy, irritated eyes), but no where near as bad as when I was younger. I used to have a severe reaction to tree pollen (spring hay fever), but it slowly subsided over time. And probably not in small part because the worst offender for me was Elm pollen. Dutch Elm Disease pretty much took care of that.

My GP recommends alternating antihistimines every couple of weeks to avoid building up an immunity. I mostly haven't had to because I don't get hit hard enough any more unless there are a LOT of mold spores around. (This is BC after all. )
