They figured out how to use member pricing (usually 30% off for most titles) and set freebies that way because it won't show up on a search. If a freebie comes from the publisher typically they set to zero the old-fashioned way. If it's from Audible then most of the time it's members-only now.

Except there's still that pesky variable called - YMMV. Some members get the books and others don't, and some non-members get the books and others don't.

In the list I maintain for current free books from Audible, I placed the last seven free books in a section titled "Provisional - YMMV". When I update the list to remove the books that are no longer free, I won't be able to tell if those books are still free or not. When signed out, they show up as paid books unlike the rest of the list which show up as free books.

Oh well, this just adds a new wrinkle to maintaining the list and with the promise of more benefits for members, it'll be an interesting ride.
