I've never actually read any titles in the Stefan Gillespie series by Michael Russell, set in 1930's Dublin, but three of the four titles in the series have been nominated (per SYKM) for New Blood or Historical Daggers, so it's probably worth trying.

I noticed this series because the third title in the series, The City in Darkness, has just dropped to £0.99 at Kindle UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/City-Darkne...dp/B017RKCCK6/

Then I noticed that the other titles in the series are pretty reasonably priced too:

The City of Shadows, #1, £1.99 at Kindle UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/City-Shadow...dp/B007WOC3EI/

The City of Strangers, #2, £1.99 at Kindle UK:

The City of Lies, #4, £0.99 at Kindle UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/City-Lies-S...dp/B01LXQRVAL/
and also $0.99 at Kindle US: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0O5Y9G/
and at Kobo US: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/the-city-of-lies-1
