I use ADE 2.0.1 on Win10 to download ebooks bought from Kobo, without problems up till recently. As of this morning, I can download a copy of books I bought on 21 Aug 2018 with this ADE; but I cannot download any of 4 books I bought on 25 Aug 2018. Like others, I get an error message about failed communication with an Adobe server.
Unless and until this resolves for me, or I hear better news from others, I am assuming that Kobo are introducing newer encryption that ADE v2 cannot handle. And I shall not be be buying any more books from Kobo until matters have improved.
