High Res Images - Batch?

Hello!

I need to clean up my ebooks including several with poor quality or no proper covers. Unfortunately, this spans epub, mobi/Kindle, and PDF formats.

When I download metadata using Calibre (standard setup, without special plugins), it will almost always find nice, high res images (around 2200x1600 or similar). However, when I have it search for metadata for multiple files at once, in a batch, Calibre will only EVER grab little 300x500 images for the covers.

I'm not sure what the problem is - if it's a setting in Calibre somewhere or if I need a plugin of some sort. I've been looking through and searching the plugins all over and cannot seem to find one that will do what I need. I know there is an Amazon high res but ONLY for mobi format - and I have a lot more epub than mobi, so it won't really solve my problem.

Alternatively, is there a setting somewhere in Calibre that allows me to choose the high res covers automatically? I just don't have the time to download every book's metadata separately. Any info on this would be REALLY helpful!!

Thanks so much in advance!
