Against my better judgment, I took the test. The first time the selection was from War of the Worlds, which is the kind of material I dislike and don't want to read. The second time the selection was from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, which I enjoy and have read many times. Is it a surprise that my reading speed for the second selection was significantly faster than for the first selection?
