I got over that feeling years ago when I realized that I already have more books than I could possibly read in my lifetime.

Now I look at it more like building a library. If I see something I want, I only buy it if the price is reasonable, and I expect to read it in the near future. Otherwise, I pass, and am content that I can go to my personal library at any time and find something good to read.
