Interesting. How is that different than Amazon's ebook site? I'm just trying to visualize what the difference is. I would guess that pirate sites tend to focus more on more popular books so there is a certain amount of filtering going on.

People seem to have all sorts of ways to find new books. 30 years ago, I found books from a combination authors I already knew, recommendations and browsing the new book shelf at the book store. I would say that the vast majority of books I bought were a combination of authors I already knew and browsing the new book self.

Now, I rarely bother trying to browse the new books list. Most books I buy are either authors I'm already familiar with or books that someone recommended. Occasionally, I'll see the "Oh that looks interesting", but that tends to be triggered by an email rather than actively browsing an ebook store.
