Sony requires no adapting for either PDF or Epub files. The DRM is supported on the Sony device. PDF is by far the largest supported format by libraries.

There is a fix for Kindle devices that does not remove DRM but adapts the mobi formatted library eBooks for Kindle use. You do not have to remove DRM.

Cybook and iRex Devices support Mobi library books with no modification. Hanlin and its clones may but I haven't gotten confirmation on this.
