iPad for tablet. Kindle Paperwhite 3 and Kobo Glo HD when I want or need e-ink.

I read lots of in-progress fanfics and for that, smartphones and tablets are more convenient. Much faster than e-readers for searching, browsing and navigating content directly from websites. If I get a chance to download/load fanfics to Calibre and transfer them to my e-reader though, I do prefer to read on the e-reader. Majority of my personal computing is done on tablets nowadays. I only touch my PC maybe once or twice a month for tasks that can't be accomplished or are much more difficult to do on the iPad so it's not often that I can load up the e-readers.

For novels purchased from Amazon or Kobo, e-ink all the way.
