Wanted to share this idea. A little while back I ordered an m.2 ssd and an external case for it. The case was nice enough and performed near the theoretical maximum for the m.2 I put in it. But it was boring.
I decided that a facelift was in order. A cover that highlighted that it was a library. It needed something that would represent the contents and the owners likes.
What I settled on was a collection of some of the 20th centuries most influential writers and some portraits of some of my favorite authors.
After designing the cover and getting the print to the right size so that it would wrap around the case nicely, I slipped a section of 50mm clear heat shrink tubing over it and warmed it with a heat gun.
I would love to know what you all think of the idea.
My next case is for a separate library of comic books and that one will be easier to cover. There are so many great fan art images that would represent the world of comic wonderfully. The only problem I will face is choosing which one.
