Oh well. Thanks for the info. Since he's a British author, I should have realized; I usually look at Fantastic Fiction for alternate titles, but clearly I didn't this time.

I am listening to A Thousand Cuts right now, with a few hours to go. So far, it is excellent. It works especially well as an audiobook, with the main narrative (the investigation of the school shooting) in third person, interspersed with first-person witness accounts performed by a variety of other actors.
