I had the same issue and it delayed the delivery of my first defective unit back to iRex by about 2 days. What is interesting is that I watched the UPS person package all the documentation together and put it in the envelope, including the power of attorney. Apparently this happens a fair amount of time. I'm beginning to think it's a generic phrase while they process a backlog of work

Neither me or my local ups shipper ever had to provide any additional documentation so it's happening somewhere on the receiving end.
