A mild observation: policy at MR is not to close threads without good cause. Even if the OP is done with a thread, it still could be useful for others to comment or ask questions. An OP can request that comments stay on topic, but no more. In any case, closing a thread is a judgment call by a moderator. (An OP can report a thread and ask that it be closed, but there's no guarantee.)

This isn't meant as a reproach. It's useful to make policy explicit occasionally.
