This means you can borrow it (and sometimes the audio) for free.

It turns out you can get it even if you don't have Prime. Both January's and February's Single have the Whyspersync price set for $0.00. This means that when you get the Kindle version (both are $1.99 for now) you can get the Audible version free. I've been using my $1 slo-mo shipping credits to get the book so that I don't lose the Audible version when they eventually rotate off Prime reading.

Enjoy!

After taking a few months off to feature books that did not have an Audible option, the Kindle Firsts page has featured for the last two months several titles that have free Audible content with them. If you are a Prime member you can borrow both the Kindle and Audible books with your subscription. If you are not (or want to own these titles permanently) you can buy the Kindle book for $1.99 and get the Whispersync book for free.

The June collection is titled "The Real Thing," and is a collection of short romance titles from various authors.

Quote:
When it comes to love, not everyone is looking for the same thing, but everyone is looking for something real. A lover. A friend. A soul mate. In this collection of moving, hilarious, and big-hearted personal testimonies, a chorus of bestselling contemporary authors reveals the modern realities of friendship, romance, commitment, and love.
The July collection is titled "Bloodlands," and is a collection of true-crime nonfiction from author Harold Schechter, who seems to specialize in this genre.

Quote:
Exploring the dark heart of US history, true-crime master Harold Schechter reveals six sensational but nearly forgotten acts of carnage and bloodlust that shocked the nation. From a diabolical Kansas family down the road from Laura Ingalls Wilder to an Elvis-inspired “rebel” to the country’s first mass shooter, these chilling criminals dominated the headlines—and nightmares—of their day.
(Note: "The Pirate" can be borrowed free with Prime, but the Whispersync is $1.95 instead of $0.00 like the others.)

The titles seem to be sticking in Prime for a while - the ones from January and February are still around. I have no idea of when or if this will change in the future. I am currently looking through the "Bloodlands" titles and they seem quite well-done.

Enjoy!
