I just had an oddity happen to my Note. I have it set to power off after 30 mins. Yesterday, it had over 50% when I last used it. This morning it wouldn't power up. I plugged in the cord, turned it on and, sure enough, it had 55% left. I unplugged the cord and a few seconds later it closed out with the low-battery/need-to-plug-in screen.
It seems like battery warning is out of sync with what the battery reads out. I checked the battery numbers with my own app, and they seemed to be in sync with system's 55%.
