Both programs are pretty buggy. Even when Nookstudy was an actively supported program, people had trouble logging in. Originally you needed both a B&N account and an Adobe ID to log in. They dropped the Adobe ID part, but people still tend to have better luck if their emails are the same for both -- when ADE is on the same machine.
