REQUEST:
Is it possible to create an option in your plug-in that serves strictly as METADATA MERGE.
This would completely ignore the book formats but create an entry as described...OR, a user can create an entry (with or without a book) and then make it part of a group to merge.

I've tried it with yours, but if there is any kind of fault and some books won't work, the entire process is stopped. I won't go into all the reasons for wanting this and the many approaches I've tried. I'll spare you that. But it SEEMS this plug-in with an addition option OR another as described based off this one would do it. I'd play with it if I had the ability, but I cannot.
From a user perspective, this would be a very simplified way to accomplish the metadata merge that isn't affected by book formats and doesn't require multiple steps to do.

I have edited to clarify....the goal on this is options to merge (concatenate) the tag fields, authors type fields, comment style fields , any fields like these as compared to titles and publishers, etc...

Thoughts?
