Hi,

I want to purchase a Kindle Paperwhite and I noticed that it's not easy to tell which model is sold, what is its release date ...

I asked one of the seller (from newegg) about more details and he told me that it was a 2nd generation released in 2014, so obviously not the last one, and it explain why the price was cheaper than the one in Amazon.

Could you please help me find out how to know the release date and generation of the Kindle sold online?

Also if by any chance you know where I can buy a new one cheaper that on Amazon feel free to tell me
