Renaming goes wrong

I got a laptop and transferred my Calibre files from the desktop to the laptop. The program would not let me import the books into the Calibre Library folder because of the metadata file in it, so I created a new folder called New Calibre Library. The importing went great.

I tried to rename the library to Calibre Library and ended up with folders called Calibre Library [empty], New Calibre Library [empty] and C_Users_(my user name)_Documents_Calibre Library [where my books are & which is the name at the top of the menu on Calibre]. I can only pick between the 2nd and 3rd ones to use as a library when I right click on the Calibre icon.

If I try to rename the library, I am only given the choice to rename New Calibre Library, but that folder has nothing in it. When I first renamed the library, I got repeating error messages about no data that went on and on, and I finally had to force quit Calibre.

Should I just uninstall Calibre and start over again?
