When there is a disease, generally 4000 IU per day is enough; more than that, is dangerous (see the links above). And to maintenance, with 800-1000 IU per day is enough. But you don't have to worry since you are under medical control.

Your first link says 800 to 1600 IU to prevent deficiency, and your second link doesn't say anything about dosage.
