Ok, your doctor knows what he does. You're doing the things in the right way. But for people that want to self-medicate, they shouldn't take more than 100000 IU per THREE MONTHS (or 30000IU per month/1000IU per day).

When there is a disease, generally 4000 IU per day is enough; more than that, is dangerous (see the links above). And to maintenance, with 800-1000 IU per day is enough. But you don't have to worry since you are under medical control.
