I've read the same thing about him. He's apparently quite fond of histories and biographies. I may not agree with his policies but I don't think he's as dumb as people make him out to be. If you listen to his early congressional debates, he used to be able to make complete sentences and answer questions. I've often wondered if his aw shucks folksiness was largely an act.
