This Week's Classical-Music.com's FREE Download--It's of Gabriel Faure.

Expect two or three giveaways of classical albums or tracks today.

I got notice of this one, first, today. It is Gabriel Fauré's Cygne sur l'Eau.

The blurb, from the provider of this freebie, Classical-music.com:
This week's free download is Gabriel Fauré's Cygne sur l'Eau, performed by baritone William Dazeley and pianist Malcolm Martineau. The piece received four stars for both recording and performance in the June issue of BBC Music Magazine.

French composer Gabriel Fauré's preferred instrument is the piano, and his pieces are known for their refinement. Baritone William Dazeley has regularly been accompanied by pianist Malcolm Martineau and this is reflected in this focused performance.

'Martineau is predictably outstanding throughout, with deft pacing and his finely-judged gradations of touch always lifting the voices,' writes Christopher Dingle.

Most of you who have downloaded from Classical-music.com before know the song-and-dance (I just realized that there is an unintended pun there (sometimes I amaze myself )) of downloading from Classical-music.com, so I won't repeat the instructions here.

Enjoy (if you're like me, you can enjoy something a lot more when it's free ).
