They're not for everyone. Different strokes for different folks, and all that.

I also recently finished listening to a TGC course about the brain. The instructor is a woman. She mentioned two or three (or more) times that she was also an opera singer. She also mentioned several times how she likes to drink wine. I wonder if it could be the same course as you listened to. I thought that it was great, but it was very L O N G.

TGC does have a policy of refunding your money (or maybe it's to let you make an exchange), if you don't like a course ("if you're ever unhappy with a course," or something to that effect). Why don't you use that policy to return the courses that you don't like? Unfortunately, the previews are probably too short to give you a good feel for how well that you would like the full versions.
