Or, maybe it was on purpose. Like the description says if you read the information behind "Learn more" in the front light menu, blue light is actually good for you(r biological clock) during the day.

On the plus side, the Clara HD looks to have noticeably darker text than the Glo.

No, comparing my Glo and Clara HD, Clara has a much higher contrast both by lighter background and yes, darker text.
