As the description noted, Adichie seems a natural storyteller from what I've read so far. I was quickly pulled in. I was surprised by the humour and I've already laughed out loud a few times, such as when Ugwu wishes curses on guests of Odenigbo that he doesn't like, such as wishing bad diarrhoea on someone and their future children.
