Higher than 32GB, I expect. I use a 64GB Samsung UHS-I uSD card on my Glo HD and I remember seeing a poster who tested up to 128GB, I think? I expect the only reason 256GB hasn't been tested yet is due to availability/cost prohibitiveness.
Currently have around 40GB worth of manga (cbz) on my Glo HD. Note, these devices have relatively weak processors so I still wouldn't load tens of thousands of ebooks on them.

Addendum: Also, just as a warning, fake SD cards are fairly common. Make sure you're buying either directly from Amazon or from an authorized retailer (not just an Amazon marketplace seller).
