I remember when I first started reading books on my PDA. Every once in awhile, when I was deeply into the story, I'd unthinkingly turn the PDA over "to look at the back cover blurb".
And yes, I've also pressed on a word, but on a normal computer screen (not a touch screen), to get a definition.
