I guess usbnet is already working. But it might not do what you are expecting. You should, for instance already be able to have access to the device via the web interface. The package by KevinShort allows you telnet (I guess this is what you are using putty for) and ftp access, cf. this post.

If you need more safety, you can set a user password and use dropbear. To be able to start dropbear you need the folder vlasovsoft/dropbear (with all its content) in .adds, and you need .adds/vlasovsoft/launcher (this is just to satisfy KSM, but has no actual function in the dropbear business).

Edit: I just now saw your last post. So only the second paragraph is of relevance.
