After one month of using a swype keyboard on Max 2 the area became ugly. Not ugly enough to fall out of love for my device, but so much that I hardly dare to use it anymore.

I put a screen protector on mine immediately upon opening it - the screen's never been touched - more
by luck than judgement as I joined this forum before buying one and after exchanging a Note 10.3 for the Max 2 for the larger screen and didn't think to fit a protector to the Note - only reading here about the emergence of this problem with the Max 2 model first - I could just as easily not fitted one....
I must agree with you most definitely - this is
surely such a bad situation that you are within your rights to return the Max 2 as
not fit for purpose as bought?
As suggested, the device must be fitted at the factory with a protector or at the very, very least, a pack of 2 or 3 provided in the initial purchase-pack and advice strongly recommending that one is immediately fitted included!
I can imagine this problem is going to become an issue - as it certainly should - for Onyx.
Sorry to hear about your problem, do you think it may be worth returning the device for a new one that you may fit a protector to immediately upon receipt?
Surely you're within your rights to go down this route?
I really hope you're able to get satisfaction with this awful problem - one doesn't expect to pay nearly £700 for a product that essentially 'wears out' within a year....
