Dieses in letzter Zeit etwas gehypte Buch erzählt eine Science Fiction Geschichte in einem abenteuerlichen Katastrophenszenario mit einer Liebesgeschichte in Textnachrichten, die allerdings dezent bleibt. Da sollte man keine Sorgen haben.
Was dieses Buch so bemerkenswert macht ist die Art und Weise in der es geschrieben ist. Von Anfang bis Ende wird die Handlung in Form von Dokumenten erzählt. Das sind persönliche und offizielle Emails, Gesprächsprotokolle oder medizinische Dossiers usw.. Das ist in seiner Konsequenz sicher originell, schafft aber auch einen gewissen Abstand zu den Protagonisten. Das Buch macht aber allein von der Optik schon sehr viel her, daher vermutlich auch der Erfolg bei einer größeren Leserschaft. Mich konnte allerdings die Handlung dann doch nicht so recht begeistern, so dass ich dieses Buch über Monate gelesen habe. (Meine momentane Leseunlust hat da sicherlich auch ihren Anteil dran). Viele Aspekte der Geschichte fand ich thematisch etwas ausgelutscht, gerade wenn man schon ein paar Science Fiction gelesen oder gesehen hat, aber für ein jugendliches Publikum ist das vielleicht auch wieder neu. Für mich ist es daher eher ein gemischtes Erlebnis gewesen.
