Love this little ereader! Backed up the microsd card to a Samsung Evo select, and upgraded the firmware to (patched) version 4.6.10075. Very clear screen, easy to read, quite fast with a medium sized sideloaded (Calibre) library ~800 epubs.
Really pleased.

I'm happy to hear that. I took mine to the beach (Galveston) and finished two books this week. I'm getting to really like it.
I'm curious, what device's software did you patch for your Mini? I'm happy with my firmware release, but I'm always curious how I
could update it (if I wanted to). (And, you know, at some point I'll have to try it.)

It's light as a feather and feels great in the hands. I really like the out-of-the-box Pocket integration. This saves me the chore of having to convert my Pocket articles to ePub in order to read on my Nook.

I'm sorry about the scratch on the screen.
(I just realized, I've got a Sony T1 with a scratch on the screen and the only time I notice it is if I purposely look for it.)
I was surprised at how light the Mini was when I got mine. I haven't tried Pocket, but I think I will sign up for an account.
