If you want a simple reliable phone, or a feature phone with a great camera, Symbian is the way to go. If you want a computer in your pocket as much as you want a phone, Windows mobile is the answer. You will get access to software such as Skype and Sling Mobile, a wide selection of GPS and WIFI software and hardware combinations, and many work-orientated form factors, from Treo to blackberry to mini-laptop.
You will almost certainly have more frustration with Windows mobile, but you are also able to do a whole lot more.
