Remember that the Kindle uses Linux as its OS.

IF the folder used by the Kindle's OS to store content is the /home folder I don't think it would be all that difficult to implement a change allowing users to create their own folders.

BUT, if the Kindle OS utilizes any other location to store its content then allowing users to create their own folders could be very problematic.

It may be that the use of metadata (tags) would be a better solution.
