Yes and yes. My Kobo Touch lives in a Kindle cover (hey, it fitted and were very cheap when PC World were selling them off), and the Icarus has a cover.
So did my Elonex - although the screen cracked when I fell asleep on the sofa and rolled over and put weight on one elbow - which was right on top of the Elonex.
(In fact, all my ereaders, smartphones & tablets have covers - I tend to carry the contents of my kitchen around with me...)
