Abandoned? Its working as I expected it to when I bought it. There was one annoying bug, the reader rebooting randomly. The last firmware update (v1.0.2-2018010215) corrected this bug so I'm happy with how the reader functions for me. Beyond any bug fixes (that I'm blissfully unaware of) I don't expect Boyue to continue further development.
