I had put the <title> tags in the wrong place in the svg's, hence the errors.

I've uploaded a corrected file to my original post: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...2&postcount=16

However, the app seems to ignore the "alt" descriptions in the images anyway, but reads the hidden letter, so this is a fine way to deal with decorative initials.

I'm a bit dismayed how the language tags are completely ignored, so listening to at least parts of the book I'm preparing will be a real pain, unless other apps do use the language tags.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the help. I don't think other voices are necessary at the moment; I guess the results will be the same, since you would use all of them with the same app, wouldn't you?
