I don't usually post what I've read / purchased but I plowed through Nora Roberts' Key series which I hadn't read before while at the beach this past week. I enjoyed the series. The summaries don't mention the romance, more the mystical bits of the book which I find amusing.
I'm also three quarters through Alyssa Cole's A Princess in Theory. The nerdy science geek in me loves this heroine, even though there are parts of the book where I want to smack her in the head.
