Not really a good basis for an eReader. Even using electo-emissive quantum dot displays, you need to apply continuous power in contrast to the bi-stable displays used in eInk ereaders where power is needed to flip the state but is not needed continuously. OTOH, as a TV display, they offer quite a few advantages including the blacks I still miss from my old plasma TV.
