The Judy Bolton series of books. I can't remember if they came before or after Nancy drew, but they have a similar theme, being that the main protagonist is a girl detective. My grandmother owned a set, and passed them on to my Mom. Which was how I was able to read them, but they're no longer in print which is why I doubt they'll be made into eBooks.
