Negating the Effect of Windows Text Scaling on Conversion
I recently purchased a new laptop and I wanted to migrate with my Calibre library and settings. I copied my library and my settings folder (Preferences - Miscellaneous - Open Calibre configuration directory) into my new PC. Tried to convert an identical EPUB to PDF using the identical settings. Both computers ran Windows 10. But the output was different.
After pulling my hair about this for a while, I realised what the problem was. There is a Windows setting that interferes with the conversion; specifically, under Settings - System - Display - Scale and Layout in Windows 10. Text scaling was 125% on my new machine and 100% on the old one. When I changed scaling to 100% on my new machine and converted again, the PDF outputs matched.
All well and good, except that I can't run my new PC on 100% text scaling because everything becomes way too tiny.
So in lieu of changing the text scaling every time I want to convert, is there a way to negate the effect of this setting on conversion in Calibre?
