(2200 x 1650) / (1200 x 825) ~= 3.67
Now that you mention it, since the N96 isn't a 4:3 screen, its area is actually smaller than a corresponding 4:3 screen by (825/900), which means Max2 has about ~2.05 times the area of N96, at a 38% higher ppi. The screen is a huge improvement indeed.
