I have been trying to figure out how to do this with Calibre:

"All of the book titles must be identical. Use the "Author" field for the document's actual name. If the book's title is too long, the "Author" field will be truncated.

"When using Mobipocket creator, use book settings to change the "Book Type" to "News Magazine" before creating book. If book contains a "Table of Contents", it will show up as "Articles List". The files don't need to be together on the kindle."

It works great--one listing on the kindle for each author, but Mobipocket Creator won't open existing kindle books. How can I change the "book type" with Calibre?
