It is believable since it is widely considered to be one of the greatest novels of all time, it is in the public domain, some of the translations are in the public domain, and some of those are considered to be very good. Small publishers don't need to acquire rights or spend a lot of money and big publishers can throw in some copyrighted commentary or other addenda. And then there are all the translations still under copyright. Maybe it is unbelievable that there are only 60ish versions, some of which can be difficult to (re)find, including the one in question, if you are only searching on the 3 title words.
It does make for a mess on Amazon. Besides the reviews all lumped together, the hardback, paperback, and kindle versions aren't necessarily the same version (this happens for other books as well). On the other hand, there are phones of the same model that differ only in color and have completely separate reviews.
The messed up descriptions across all product categories could probably fill a book.
