That's a bit of an over statement, IMPO. Basically, you are frustrated because Apple isn't Android and won't let you do thing precisely like you want to do them. There are a number of ways to get audiobooks on to an iOS device - dropbox, and iCloud come to mind. Your issue is you want to roll your own, but you don't want to learn how to do that on an iOS device. I will go back to my original advice to you, you will likely be a lot happier with an Andriod device than an iOS device.
