I don't think the problem you are seeing is the same as the one this thread has been discussing. The thing I would do for your situation is start with a factory reset. You will need to do a search to see how to do this, as I can never remember the steps on a WiFi.

But, it could be a different symptom of the same problem. And apart from the time taken, it won't harm to restore the image. I've sent a PM with the link to the image to try if needed.
