kyteflyer - Note that the Linux app you linked, "Audio Book Creator", looks like it would do the job nicely if you want a GUI. However, it depends on a specific codec, "Nero AAC enc" that was freely available a few years ago, but I'm having a devil of a time finding it now. Still searching. It appears to have disappeared from the web about 2 years ago. I'm still searching, or possibly I'll hack the Audio Book Creator code to use a different codec.
More likely, I'll just do the conversion from the Linux command line (no GUI). There are many different standard Linux tools that can be used to do it from the command line.
