well, your strong sense of morality does you credit, but honestly, if i were you, i would donate them so that someone else can enjoy them and you can free up some space, and i wouldn't lose any sleep over it. that is what i am doing, with the old classics i'm replacing by ebooks. i give away the paper copies. i'm like you ; i can't bear to throw away or destroy a book, but i have GOT to get them out of my appartment. it's not like you're making a million copies and handing them out in the street ! i think it's worse to destroy the books.
