Off topic, but I remember a project I read about a few years ago of making solar panel based motorways... You really get to harness belief for that.
Anyway, as Gimble nailed it, I was more concerned on how can battery technology match intermittent powem sources. That of Perovskite solar cells is quite interesting. We will soon able to recharge the tablet by typing on it, talking to it, shaking it!
